Appartments - Val Cenis

 

Val Cenis comprises two traditional villages, Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard, and has retained its charm, tradition and genuine warm welcome. Val Cenis is overlooked by the high summits of the Dent Parrachée, the Grand Roc Noir, and the Pointe de Ronce. The 'Centre des Glières' has an ice rink, swimming pool and whirlpool, with tennis, table tennis, archery, mini golf, kayak, horse and pony riding.

Although Savoie is best known by cyclists for its prestigious high mountain passes and its long and acrobatic mountain bike descents, there are also quiet little roads in the valleys, middle mountain paths, undulating vineyards, lakeside scenery and especially breathtaking alpine panoramas, to be discovered by bike, by foot, or on horseback, with mountain guides to show the way - for beginners and experts alike. Val Cenis is only half an hour’s drive from Modane and the motorway exit.

The self-catering apartments in Val Cenis are located right next to the Kosher Hotel with a full range of kosher food access. There will be a Shul in the residence. This residence offers accommodation (with lifts), situated in 4 large chalets built out of stone and wood. The apartments are basic but clean and comfortable.

APARTMENTS:

 

The apartments are equiped with a kitchen, microwave, bathroom and balcony. There will be extra 40 litre freezer space at the Kosher hotel, with access by hotel staff twice a week.

 

• 2 Bedroom Apartment: Sleeps up to 6, living area with 2 single sofa-beds, 1 bedroom double bed, 1 bedroom 2 single beds (one of which may have bunks).

       PRICE: £1400 - price includes linen, towls, end of stay cleaning excluding kitchen (which must be done by the tenant)

 

• 3 Bedroom  Apartment: Sleeps up to 8, living area with 2 single sofa-beds, 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2, 1 bedroom with bunks. 1 bathroom 1 shower room separate W.C. Some apartments are duplex. 

       PRICE: £1500 - price includes linen, towls, end of stay cleaning excluding kitchen (which must be done by the tenant)

 

Free of Charge:

• Indoor heated swimming pool - PLEASE NOTE: No exclusive arrangements were made for Global Vacations holiday makers to use the pool or spa. Therefore the pool and spa will be mixed at all times. The pool may NOT be used as a Mikvah at any time.
• Wi-Fi access in reception

 

Payable services:

• Cot or high chair hire 15 euros/week each; baby kit hire (cot and high chair) 25 euros/week (all subject to availability, state at time of booking)
• Laundry room
• Pool table
• Daily cleaning on request 25 euros/hour

Climbing, mountaineering and via ferrata:                               

In Val Cenis, where climbing is second nature, you’ll find a multitude of rock-climbing routes for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Our qualified climbing guides and instructors invite you to try this sport in complete safety, to discover the mountains from a brand new angle.

Via ferrata is another climbing activity, similar to rock climbing, which is very popular in the region. In the company of a mountain guide, it offers you access to some exceptional spots and promises plenty of thrills!

Canyoning:

The valley’s main river, the Arc, takes its source at the foot of the aptly-named Sources de l’Arc glacier. From the hamlet of Ecot, the stream flows to Bonneval sur Arc through a majestic decor of canyons where our mountain professionals will take you on a canyoningdescent. Pleasure at its purest!

Other activities:

Take to the heights for an even more beautiful view from above! On foot if you’re feeling energetic, or in a microlight or paraglider for a stunning bird’s-eye view of the mountains. Go tree climbing lake diving, or summer skiing. One thing’s for sure… you’ll find plenty to do in Val Cenis!

In this land dedicated to cycling and mountain activities, the sports shops do their utmost to propose quality accessories and technical garments. Rental and sale of mountaineering, climbing, hiking and via ferrata equipment.
Rental, sale and repair of road bikes, mountain bikes, electrically assisted mountain bikes, enduro mountain bikes, fatbikes, etc.

Summer lifts:

Mountain bikers and walkers can make the most of the ski lifts that open for the summer in Val Cenis.
Leave your car in the car park and take to the hiking trails or hurtle down the mountain bike tracks… To avoid walking up, any excuse is good enough!

Although public transport is reliable and efficient, for those who are able to, it would be advisable to have a car, as it would be easier to travel around the wider area to fully see this beautiful part of the world.
